Being on a path to Jesus can be alike to Dorothy in the wizard of Oz

Hi everyone, at times I have thought that I was on a journey a bit like the wizard of Oz. You can think of these characters symbolically as well. However, God is to not fond of the job that wizards do and he is not a wizard and is also real. However, I was thinking though that it was a bit like in life I was on a path to see him as God, and alike similar to Dorothy who went to see a wizard" Were off to see the.... wonderful world of God.

In the Christian faith in the Gospels there are paths to as well.

Jesus told us to come to him through the narrow path or through the strait gate to get to him to receive eternal life beyond mortal death. This path as we know isn't easy for us to stay on. We need to be on this path at the end of our life to reach him (Matthew 7: 21-23).

There are other paths such as the wide gate which we do not want to be on in life. The Lord prepares us to get through and persevere to end of our journey on earth with our comforter-the Holy Spirit in life which he promised to equip us as Christians on our journey which Jesus he would send believers after his resurrection (John 14:26).

Faith is important for eternal life, but also so is a commitment to live as Jesus taught. (Hebrews 4) speaks about eternal rest, so we have to try and stay and end up on the narrow path to reach him to gain eternal rest through him. Jesus said that if we love him you will keep my commandments (John 14:15).  As Christians we are not perfect and  Jesus is the only perfect complete one-we should try though to follow his word and pick ourselves up and ask for forgiveness and begin again when we falter.
